Tour Plan

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you are met by your private safari guide and transferred to your lodge in or near Arusha. This first day is designed for rest after your international journey. Depending on arrival time, you may relax at the lodge, enjoy views of Mount Meru, or take a short walk around the property. In the evening, your guide provides a briefing on the safari route, travel distances, and wildlife expectations for the coming days. Overnight in Arusha.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is known for its diverse habitats, including groundwater forests, open grasslands, and the alkaline lake itself. Wildlife sightings may include elephants, buffalo, giraffes, hippos, baboons, and a wide variety of bird species. The scenic landscape and varied ecosystems make this an excellent introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. After the game drive, continue to your lodge in the Manyara area for dinner and overnight.

Travel toward Serengeti National Park, passing through highland scenery and local villages before entering the vast plains. Enjoy an en-route game drive as wildlife sightings increase. The central Serengeti is known for its year-round wildlife, including large populations of predators and plains game. Lions, cheetahs, and leopards are commonly seen in this region. Arrive at your camp in time to relax before dinner. Overnight in the Serengeti.

Spend a full day exploring Serengeti National Park on extended game drives. Morning and afternoon safaris allow you to observe wildlife behavior throughout the day. The open savannah provides excellent visibility, making it easier to spot predators and large herds. Your guide adjusts the route based on wildlife movement and recent sightings. Breaks are taken at scenic locations within the park. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside this unique volcanic caldera. The crater floor supports an exceptional concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and endangered black rhinos. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before ascending to the rim. Overnight at your lodge in the Ngorongoro area.

After breakfast, travel back to Arusha through the highlands and rural communities. Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound international flight. This marks the end of your Tanzania safari, offering a well-rounded experience that combines classic northern circuit parks with diverse landscapes and rich wildlife encounters.
