Tour Plan

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you are met by your private safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. This first day is designed for rest and recovery after your international flight. Depending on arrival time, you may enjoy views of Mount Meru, explore the hotel surroundings, or relax in preparation for the safari ahead. Your guide will provide a short briefing about the upcoming journey, safari logistics, and what to expect in the coming days. Overnight in Arusha, allowing you to acclimate and settle into Tanzania’s relaxed pace before the adventure begins.

After breakfast, depart for Arusha National Park, a compact yet diverse park known for its scenic beauty and rich birdlife. The park features lush forests, open grasslands, and the Momella Lakes, often visited by flamingos. Wildlife sightings may include giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. A game drive introduces you to Tanzania’s northern safari landscapes in a calm, uncrowded setting. The backdrop of Mount Meru adds to the experience. In the afternoon, return to your lodge near Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Travel south to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant populations and striking baobab trees. The Tarangire River acts as a lifeline for wildlife, attracting animals throughout the year. During your game drive, you may encounter elephants, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. The park’s open landscapes provide excellent photography opportunities. After a full day exploring Tarangire’s quieter, less commercial environment, continue to your lodge or tented camp located near the park for overnight.

After breakfast, begin the journey toward Serengeti National Park, passing through changing landscapes and rural villages. As you approach the Serengeti, the terrain opens into vast plains stretching to the horizon. Enjoy an en-route game drive as wildlife sightings increase. The Serengeti is home to large predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as massive herds of herbivores. Arrive at your camp in time for dinner, settling in for an overnight stay in the heart of this iconic wilderness.

Spend the day exploring Serengeti National Park on extended game drives. Early morning and afternoon safaris offer the best chances to observe predators in action. The endless plains support a high concentration of wildlife year-round, making every drive unpredictable and rewarding. Your guide will tailor the day based on animal movements and sightings. Breaks are taken at scenic spots within the park. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

Another full day is dedicated to Serengeti exploration. Focus may shift to different areas of the park to experience varied landscapes and wildlife behavior. Large herds of plains game, scavengers, and birds of prey are commonly seen. This flexible day allows deeper immersion into the Serengeti ecosystem, with time to observe animal interactions and natural rhythms. As the sun sets over the plains, return to camp for dinner and overnight, reflecting on one of Africa’s most remarkable safari environments.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive offers continued wildlife viewing as you exit the park. Ascend into the highlands, where cooler temperatures and changing scenery provide a contrast to the plains below. Arrive at your lodge located near the crater rim or within the conservation area. The afternoon is free to relax and enjoy views of the surrounding landscape. Overnight in Ngorongoro.

Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full game drive inside this unique volcanic caldera. The crater floor supports an extraordinary density of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and endangered black rhinos. The enclosed ecosystem allows for excellent wildlife viewing within a compact area. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before continuing the game drive. In the afternoon, ascend back to the rim and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart Ngorongoro and travel back to Arusha. The drive passes through highland farmland and local communities, offering insight into rural life. Upon arrival in Arusha, transfer to your hotel for overnight. The afternoon is free to relax, shop for souvenirs, or rest before transitioning from safari to beach. This day provides a comfortable break between the wildlife experience and the island portion of your journey.

Transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your beach resort. The remainder of the day is free to unwind after the safari, with time to enjoy the beach, swim, or relax at the resort. Zanzibar’s coastal atmosphere offers a complete change of pace from the mainland. Overnight at your Zanzibar beach hotel.

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Zanzibar. This day is intentionally unstructured, allowing you to relax on white-sand beaches or explore the island at your own pace. Optional activities may include swimming, snorkeling, or visiting nearby villages. The calm ocean views and tropical surroundings create an ideal environment for rest and recovery. Overnight at your beach resort.

Another full day in Zanzibar to enjoy the island’s natural beauty. You may choose to relax by the ocean, take a dhow cruise, or explore cultural and historical sites independently. The island’s blend of African, Arab, and Indian influences is reflected in its architecture and atmosphere. Overnight at your Zanzibar resort.

Continue your beach stay with another leisure day. Zanzibar’s coastline offers tranquil settings for sunbathing and gentle walks along the shore. This day allows you to fully disconnect after the active safari days. Optional spa treatments or water activities may be arranged locally. Overnight at the resort.

Your final full day in Zanzibar is free for relaxation or last-minute exploration. Enjoy the resort facilities or simply take in the scenery and warm ocean breeze. This day completes the transition from adventure to complete relaxation before departure. Overnight at your Zanzibar beach hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for your onward flight. This marks the end of your Tanzania safari and Zanzibar beach journey, combining wildlife exploration with coastal relaxation in a single, seamless itinerary.
